Yup, you heard the erroneous news here first.
It turns out that Fast & Furious (aka 4 Fast 4 Furious*) was not quite good enough to merit inclusion on its own. But if you remove the sound and just edit together a montage of Vin Diesel trying to look dramatic/hardcore/badass/smiley/angry/hungry/like he’s hanging out a speeding car in a v-neck over the classic, dulcet sounds of Limp Bizkit … well, ladies and gents, you have yourself a Best Picture nominee.
Congrats, Mr. Diesel.
